God Continues to Bless TCA!

God continues to bless TCA! We moved into our new Secondary Building in August and the students and faculty are enjoying brand new classrooms, the new cafeteria, weight room and media center. More pictures will be posted soon but here is the finished Secondary Building from the outside.

A generous anonymous donation in the fall provided the blessing of funds to finish the gymnasium, locker rooms, concession stand and two more classrooms. Construction is currently taking place in this area and it will be finished soon. Our student-athletes and coaches (and Eagle fans!) are very excited about the new gym!

A Cool Lunch on a Hot Day

Last week the construction workers enjoyed a lunch of grilled burgers (thank you, Mr. Fain!), watermelon and yummy desserts. Thank you to Trinity Bible Church for the use of their Fellowship Hall so the workers could relax and enjoy lunch in the cool air conditioning!

Work continues inside, outside and all around TCA. Below are a few pictures from last week.

TCA Family & Friends - If you have not been by TCA this summer, check out the pictures of what is happening around the school!

The portables are about ready to be removed from the property, the elementary rooms are being painted and boxes and furniture are being stored in about every corner we could find! God blessed us in an incredible way with some wonderful furniture from another school and you can see pictures below of that moving day. We had some great help from some young men from TCA on a very hot day!

All of this is being done in anticipation of the new school year with 6th thru 12th graders in their new building and our elementary students returning to a freshly painted, colorful new building.

Construction continues at a rapid pace on the new building. The retaining wall is being completed this week and the stonework on the outside of the building is beautiful. Walls are being painted inside and Mr. Skaggs is looking forward to being able to get some fresh air on the balcony outside of his office.

The next lunch for the construction workers will be Friday, July 8th. Be looking for an email for items that will be needed for the lunch. Also, there are still days available for you to provide water and/or Gatorade for the workers. Just visit www.mysignup.com/mocwater and pick a day or two to minister to the workers in this much needed way this summer.

Lunch by Lifestone Church & Summer is Coming!

A huge thank you to a Lifegroup from Lifestone Church for donating and serving the May lunch for the construction workers. The workers enjoyed a lunch of barbeque pork sandwiches, chips and brownies. Lunches will continue thru the summer along with a cooler of cold water and gatorade daily.

If you would like to donate bottled water or gatorade, you may drop it off at the school any time. If each TCA family donated one case of water for the summer, we would have plenty to make it thru the hot summer days. Be watching for a sign up to help with filling the cooler over the summer. We will probably try to do cooler of ice and towels for the really hot days. These were a huge hit last summer and there will still be crews working in the hot sun to prepare the landscaping and outer areas of the school.

The workers are working so hard to make sure our building is ready for the fall semester. The progress is amazing as you can see in the pictures below. We will try to post interior pictures soon!

Easter Celebration

In April, the construction workers were treated to a traditional Easter lunch of ham, potato salad, green beans and homemade strawberry cake. But more importantly, they walked away from lunch with a copy of The Jesus Film and words in their hearts about God's redeeming love from Pastor Clark Bosher of Willow Park Baptist Church. Mr. Max Perez, TCA Spanish Teacher, interpreted for Pastor Bosher. Thank you to all who donated lunch items and thank you to the TCA staff who donated Easter baskets full of goodies for the workers to take home to their children. Praise God for this Easter lunch for the workers!!!!

Wow! The progress on our new Secondary Building is amazing! The construction workers are working so hard and every day there is progress. We have been blessed with beautiful spring (but windy) weather lately.

TCA is so thankful for these workers and will once again show our appreciation at the April Construction Lunch. We will be providing a traditional Easter dinner with some take home items that they can share with their families that will give them a deeper glimpse at the true meaning of Easter.

Please continue to pray for the workers' safety on the job site and that resurrection of Christ is real in their hearts this Easter season. We want every worker on the site about the redeeming love of our Lord.

Thank you to all the TCA families who donated items for today's lunch. You made it possible to once again show our appreciation to the workers on the site of our new Secondary Building! Many of the workers at lunch today were a new crew who had not been on our site before. We served a brown bag lunch with sandwiches, chips, cookies, fruit and a few hot peppers! Many also left with an English or Spanish Bible in their hand as well.

Thank you, Lord, for making this new building a reality and for bringing us such great workers!!!

The Ministry of Construction is such an exciting part of the building process. Each month we provide an appreciation lunch for the workers on the new secondary building as well as for those working to renovate the Trinity Bible Church sanctuary. In addition to a delicious hot lunch, these men are given tokens of TCA’s appreciation such as measuring tapes with the school logo and plastic TCA footballs to take home to their kids. Also available on the tables at all of the lunches are stacks of New Testaments in English and Spanish. At our last luncheon, a worker asked me if he could take more than one Spanish Bible. I told him YES!!! Take all you want! It’s fun to see these men walking to their trucks after lunch carrying gifts of appreciation from TCA, but it is absolutely thrilling to see them take copies of God’s Word home to their families.

Despite the language barrier (I know just enough Spanish to be dangerous), it is always a blessing to visit with the workers during these lunches. They are always hesitant at first because it’s so rare that someone would express interest in them, but they warm up quickly. At the last lunch, I asked one of the foremen if he’d ever seen lunch and gifts given away like this at a work site. He said that he’d never even heard of anything like this before!

Over the course of the remaining lunches, please pray that the relationships we build will result in changed lives. Thanks so much TCA family for making the Ministry of Construction work through your gifts of time, food, supplies, and prayer!

Overwhelming

Overwhelming.

One would think that writing on concrete would not cause any display of emotion.

One would think that watching people write words on a piece of steel would not

cause any feelings of sentiment.

One would think that seeing a child's drawing of a family would not cause any tears to shed.

These are not just words. These are not just drawings. This is a display of love. What was momentarily written will be forever remembered.

Holy Graffiti.

It is not about you. It is not about me. It is about El Shaddi ("God All Sufficient"). It is about Jehovah-Jireh ("The Lord will Provide"). It is about Immanuel ("God with us").

While to the world it may appear that men are constructing Trinity Christian Academy's new secondary building, the families and staff know that God is the one providing all that has come and all that is to come. Through Him, the steel will rise. Through Him, the walls will go up. Through Him, the roof will be placed.

It is not a blind belief. It is an "eyes wide open" belief. We are blessed to see what we've believed would happen after years of prayer and planning. God is faithful.

Overwhelmingly so.

What Can I Do to Help for the Holy Graffiti Pancake Breakfast?

We are looking forward to our Holy Graffiti and Pancake Breakfast on December 4^th! Pancakes will be served from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. and you may visit the construction site from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. to write prayers and Scripture on the concrete and the steel beams. Be sure to RSVP to henning@tcaeagles.org with the number of pancakes you think your family will eat and if anyone wants milk.

TCA will be providing the pancakes, coffee and milk. We will need each class to help by bringing the items listed below. Your help is also needed for set up, serving and clean up.

Pre-K: Case of individual serving bottles of juice

Kindergarten: Syrup

1^st Grade: Creamer and sweetener

2^nd Grade: Case of individual serving bottles of juice

Please drop off your breakfast items by Friday, December 3^rd in the Secondary Office. Cold weather gear for the construction workers can be dropped off anytime before December 10^th or brought to the Pancake Breakfast.

Join us for breakfast and a time for your family to go the construction site and write prayers and scripture on the foundation and steel beams of our new secondary building. Concrete and Beautiful Fall Trees

Concrete was poured today for one of the parking lots! It is so exciting to see all of the work being done. The site changes daily. We urge you to stop by and take a peek and say a prayer for the workers while you are there.

God is certainly blessing the workers with a beautiful backdrop of fall color by which to work. We praise God for all of the blessings that He is pouring out on TCA this fall!

First Friday Lunch - 10/1

The MOC (Ministry of Construction) hosted October's First Friday Lunch by having a tailgate party complete with burgers, hotdogs, chips and dessert. It is a blessing to be able to show the workers how much we appreciate all they are doing for TCA's new secondary building.

While prayer is an important aspect at TCA, it is always a blessing to spend a morning in prayer knowing that other schools all over the United States are doing the exact same thing. This morning's prayer focus was on our country, government, state and school. Also, we prayed by the construction site over our new secondary building as well as the construction workers and other individuals involved with this project.

First Friday Lunch - 9/3

Ministry of Construction (MOC) had their "First Friday" lunch for the construction workers on Sept. 3. We had about 40 men show up from both the school and church construction sites. It was much appreciated by the workers.

For our next "First Friday" lunch, we will be 'tailgating' on Oct. 1. If you would like to help in any way, either behind the scenes or serving and visiting with the workers, please contact Susie Henning at henning@tcaeagles.org.
